Il n'existe pas encore de norme halal unifiée.

Bien que la certification halal soit une affaire mondiale, il n’existe pas de norme halal unique et unifiée. Les lois et les autorités locales jouent un rôle déterminant, chacune élaborant ses propres normes sur la base de ses interprétations islamiques et de ses nuances culturelles. Cette variation met en évidence la complexité et la diversité de l’approche de la certification halal dans les différentes régions.

Diverses interprétations et définitions

Les normes halal diffèrent considérablement en termes d’interprétation, de définition et de gouvernance. Certaines régions mettent l’accent sur des aspects particuliers de la préparation, tandis que d’autres se concentrent sur des considérations éthiques spécifiques. Ces différences résultent d’une combinaison d’interprétations religieuses, de traditions culturelles et de cadres juridiques, ce qui se traduit par un éventail de normes pouvant varier considérablement d’une région à l’autre.

 

Région de l'OCI

L’Organisation de la coopération islamique (OCI) compte 57 pays membres. Dans ces régions, il existe une adaptation générale de la norme de l’Institut de normalisation et de métrologie pour les pays islamiques (SMIIC). Cette coopération favorise une certaine cohérence des pratiques halal dans les pays membres. Mais les interprétations et réglementations locales peuvent encore donner lieu à des variations.
