The Halal Quality Control team is gearing up for the illustrious Halal 20 (H20) event, a pivotal summit dedicated to the global Halal industry, hosted by The Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Republic of Indonesia. This significant occasion is scheduled to unfold from November 17 to November 21, 2023, at the Jakarta International Expo, Grand Ballroom Kemayoran, in Jakarta, Indonesia.
As we are seeking BPJPH accreditation for not 1, but 8 offices in Europe, this event is an opportunity to reinforce its commitment to the principles of halal assurance as outlined by Indonesian law. Participants of the H20 will engage in a rich program, including the signing of a Mutual Recognition Agreement, aimed at fostering global partnership and alignment with Law No. 33 of 2014’s objectives.
Indonesia’s Law No. 33 of 2014 on Halal Product Assurance landmarks a legislation reinforcing the importance of stringent halal standards and certification processes carried out abroad the country. In short, from October 2024, all incoming food and beverage products must be Halal certified.
The H20, hosted by The Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Republic of Indonesia, marks a gathering of 116 Halal Certification Bodies to discuss and synchronize efforts in the global Halal industry. The event is set to occur from November 17 to November 21, 2023, at the Jakarta International Expo, Grand Ballroom Kemayoran, in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Participants will witness the signing of a Mutual Recognition Agreement with selected certification bodies, a milestone for the BPJPH starting to accredited its first foreign Halal certification bodies. The International Halal Conference, a centerpiece of the H20, will address pivotal themes such as “Realizing a Global Halal Standard”. Additionally, the Global Halal Expo will showcase a multitude of certified halal products from domestic and international producers.
During the Gala Dinner, our CEO will be speaking on behalf of the World Halal Food Council, an umbrella of elite Halal certification bodies from all over the world.
The event will also feature unique Halal Performance segments, Halal Business Matching to bolster trade relations, and Halal Tours, offering a glimpse into Jakarta’s rich cultural and halal culinary heritage.
